This Christmas, Free Periods Hong Kong is launching our Christmas Charity Bag Charm 🎁🎄, featuring a Y2K-themed Menstruation Phone Strap 📱✨.

The design is inspired by Wash United’s “one bead = one day” concept 📿🔴, where each bead represents a day in the menstrual cycle. Building on the original design of 28 beads for a typical cycle and 5 red beads for the average period, we added 1 yellow bead for ovulation 💛, 2 black beads for PMS 🖤, and white beads to represent hormonally stable days 🤍.

Each charm comes with a DIY Menstrual Phone Strap Kit 🎨📦, allowing you to freely choose bead styles, quantity, and arrangement—creating a unique strap that reflects your cycle while enjoying the fun of crafting and learning more about your body✨.

Our logo takes a circular form, resembling a rounded flower and menstrual blood, reminding us that menstruation is a natural bodily process, reflecting the constant flow within the body, brimming with vitality. The design carries a simple idea: periods can bloom too — a natural and beautiful state that deserves to be seen, not hidden.

The three colours represent shifts in emotion and energy, expressing diversity, inclusion, and strength, while the figure — Flowie — is drawn with a mid-sized form to reflect freedom and confidence in how we face our bodies.

Dressed in an ocean-blue swimsuit, Flowie symbolises unrestrained bodily and emotional flow, echoing Free Periods Hong Kong’s vision of freedom from period poverty.

In our Christmas charity charm, one component is a pocket mirror featuring the logo, paired with Flowie holding a key tag that reads “Everyone deserves a free period” — a reminder of why menstrual equity matters.

FPHK’s Christmas Charity Bag Charm comes in two versions — with essential oil and without✨. We’re thrilled to collaborate with aromatherapist @hanami.mirai, who crafted two essential oils designed for menstrual wellbeing.

These blends support your period needs in different ways from uplifting your mood to easing tension. Each mini essential oil bottle clips onto the charm, allowing you to use it anytime, offering comfort throughout your cycle💛.
